How high is a regulation hoop (for Net Set Go as well)?

The Regulation height for the goal post in Netball is 10 feet / 3 metres. The ring on the hoop where the ball passes through should have an internal diameter of 15 inches/ 380 millimeters.

For Net Set GO! the goal post is smaller measuring 8 feet/ 2.4 metres. The ring of the goal post is the same size as a standard goal post.

Are there any Netball clinics that my child can attend?

In 2008 the Queensland Firebirds teamed up with major sponsor ANZ and conducted Netball clinics throughout Brisbane.

So far the Firebirds have travelled to Mt Gravatt, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Mackay and Toowoomba.

Each clinic runs for three hours and gives the chance for young upcoming netballers to get valuable tips from Queensland’s best.

To keep up to date with clinics send your name and email address to info@netballq.org.au to receive our weekly newsletter.

My daughter is interested in playing Netball how do I go about getting her started?

For young girls who are interested to start Netball for the first time there is the Net Set Go program.

It is for young girls between the ages of 5 and 10, and is designed for teaching the basics of Netball whilst also encompassing the elements of fun and friendship that Netball embodies.

Net Set Go is run at many associations around Queensland.
